Born and raised in Milwaukee, WI I developed a love for film and photography due to the admiration I had for my mother, an artist. I observed her from a young age, meeting editor deadlines for articles, adding paint to canvases, and doing multiple photo shoots with her Canon camera. I began early assisting her in weddings with lighting and eventually progressed to a second shooter.
Seeing the beauty in her work, I developed my own interest in film and went to study at University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. While in school, I wrote and produced short films, including “Every Black Boy Wants to be Loved” which was selected and featured at the annual Milwaukee Film Festival. Also, I have assisted other students and directors in production, staging and editing of films. Further, I have filmed commercials and promotional videos for several local businesses.
In addition to film, I have taken photography courses and perfected the lesson I learned early on and I now assist people to capture personal and professional lifetime moments through photography. Moreover, I have graduated from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee with a Bachelor of Fine Art (BFA)
